I am a retired Air Force Veteran of 22 years. I started shooting as child with a hand pump BB Gun hunting small pheasants with friends and family and as we grew older, we naturally jumped up to the .22LR. During Air Force basic training I qualified expert with both the M-16 and M-4 rifles and at my first duty station I qualified hand gun use with the Beretta M9 (9mm). Throughout my life one thing always ring true pertaining to firearms, safety. I, along with the NRA advocate several fundamental rules of firearms safety:
· Always keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction
· Always keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot
· Every firearm is loaded until you clear it
· Always keep the firearm unloaded until you are ready to use it
· Remembering these simple rules will keep you and your family safe from accidental harm.
I started my career in 1988 at Charleston AFB, SC and deployed for Operations Just Cause, Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and the Cuban/Haitian refugee crisis flying refugees out of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. In 1994 I transferred to Lajes Field, Portugal where I partook in the implementation of the Air Forces Combined Concept coordinating with Command and Control, Maintenance Operations Control and Logistics Control operations providing coordination within the European and Middle Eastern theaters of operation. My last active-duty station was Headquarters AFSOC at Hurlburt Field, FL. In 2010 I retired from Westover ARB, MA.
My goal is to ensure you learn the skills necessary to protect yourself, your family and how to safely store your firearms within your home. I strive to protect myself and my family, and it is the primary reason I conceal carry every day and everywhere I go.
